Description:
Historic Style Hotel |
| |
The house was built at the turn of the century, during the period of Emperor Franz Joseph. Originally planned as dwelling house, it became soon a hotel named "Egerländer".
After World War II soldiers of the U.S. allied troops were quartered in the building. At that time the hotel was named "Franz Joseph Bahn". Not until intense renovations during the 50ies, was the hotel named after one of the greatest composers.
The family Fischer-Millmann, belonging to a traditional family of hoteliers, took over the business in 1977, continuing long-lasting Viennese tradition combined with comfortable ambience of a family-run hotel.
